Can u use a false name on a bank account?

for data protection reasons, or maybe your maiden name or middle name??Can u use a false name on a bank account?
you can but its fraud.

don't know how celebs do it though.

some woman open an account before they get married and keep the name in their maiden name mindCan u use a false name on a bank account?
I dont think you can, because the would be a type of bank fraud, but you can use passwords on a bank account that only you would know,ie if you call in they will ask you what your password is,also some of the credit protection companys i hear are great, but they do cost some to protect your indenity.
You may only use your full real legal name in accordance with government-issued ID, or use a legally registered business name, with proof of registration and Employer Identification Number or your personal SSN. ';Know your customer'; rules require verification, and when the Dept of the Treasury Bank Examiners audit the bank, they verify that all proper documentation has been obtained for each account.
no, that would be fraud

how do you know what the celebrities have their bank account names as? I do know that Martin Sheen does not have his legal documents under his stage name, as does Charlie Sheen as well.
Basically no . its illegal
I think you can give any account a 'name', but it still has to have your real name associated with it, or like the other person said - jail for you...:)
If you register the name, you can use it, if not it's fraud, plain and simple.
no you can't .you got to have a ID with a picture anyway and social security number.
you can use your maiden name but not your middle name (as a first name)
A false name is fraud and they would need to see some ID anyway before they allowed you to open an account,,
because most celebs use stage names so bank accounts would be in their real names doh !!
Only if you want to end up in jail
errrrrrrrrrrrrrr.........give you two guesses on that one....
