You will now not be allowed to join the Navy with an arrest. This is because unless the case is dismissed, which is rare for providing false info to police you will receive at least probation. The military will not accept people on probation until they are off it, sometimes they allow unsupervised probation but you need a waiver. You didn't list what your MOS was going to be if it is anything that requires clearance like working around nuclear reactors or other classified things this will automatically disqualify you. You also said your not in the Navy, but when you go to MEPS and swear in and Join the delayed entry program you are in the Navy, you are also in violation of you contract that you signed by getting arrested and could face criminal action. Although that is highly unlikely and they may just drop you from DEP and bar you from enlistment. What GOING TO HAPPEN TO ME WITH THE NAVY i GOT ARRESTED for giving police a false name ... its a Misdemonor?
Let your recruiter know immediately. If you don't, then you will also have lied on your background investigation questionaire and your application. The penalty for both (according to the Uniform Code of Military Justice) can be quite severe.

On the other hand, if you let your recruiter iknow now, there is no crime against the military, only the civil crime. I don't think that will be very serious as far as the Navy stands.
You only have to be read your rights after you are under arrest AND being questioned. If you gave the cop a different name to avoid criminal charges, that is a felony in same states. Call your recruiter and let them know about the situation.
you only get read your rights before being questioned. since your already in the navy (I assume) you may face an article 15 or letter of reprimand. some states it's a felony
