Giving a false name is a criminal offense.

You may get the ticket dismissed, but then your brother will be arrested for obstructing.Giving a false name?
are you twins how did he show his license and the cop acutally belived it was him?
No. Get an attorney, this will get ugly. Any time I've seen a charge that a family member ripped off another family member's ID, it's NOT been settled quickly, easily or cheaply. You can try to settle it yourself, but no one will believe you. I wouldn't.
How would you're apartment lease prove you weren't the one driving the car? The address has nothing to do with it. Just go in the a few forms of ID (not your apartment lease) and tell the judge your brother lied to the police and gave them your name %26amp; birthdate.

It's up to them to prove you were the driver and the cop has to recognize you. THEN, it's on the police to ID your brother and get a warrant for Obstructing Justice.
If the police officer is present and you are not identical twins, the officer should be able to identify which one of you he ticketed.
