What names the WTS uses for the false teachings when they come form the WTS?

They call them ';what we used to believe that is now replaced by new light';, or something to that effect, or in laymen’s terms bulls**t.

When ';New Light'; replaces old light, the old light tends to be forgotten and not discussed.

In line with this, here is probably one of the most hopelessly boneheaded statements made by the Watchtower:

The Watchtower, 11/1/72, pg 644.

';Does this admission of making mistakes stamp them [Watchtower] as false prophets? Not at all, for false prophets do not admit to making mistakes.';

Really? So if the Watchtower admits to making a prophesy that didn't happen, it doesn't mean they were ';false prophets'; because they admit their mistakes. This is so not right.

If you prophesy something and it doesn't happen, do you really have to admit you were wrong? How could you possibly claim you were right? You are by default, wrong. You already look stupid. Insisting you were right would only make you look worse.

What the Watchtower doesn't say is that it often doesn't admit it was wrong or it does so in a convoluted way.

For example, the 1975 prediction that Armageddon was coming in that years. For you Jo Ho ';1975 deniers'; I lived this so don't even begin to tell me that ';the Society never said that Armageddon would come in 1975.

From: The Nations Shall Know That I Am Jehovah - How? 1971 p. 216:

JEHOVAH’S “SWORD” AGAINST “ALL THOSE OF FLESH”

9 Shortly, within our twentieth century, the “battle in the day of Jehovah” will begin against the modern antitype of Jerusalem, Christendom.';

Gee, I must have missed that.

From the Watchtower, October 15, 1969 pages 622 and 623:

';More recently earnest researchers of the Holy Bible have made a recheck of its chronology. According to their calculations the six millenniums of mankind's life on earth would end in the mid-seventies. Thus the seventh millennium from mans creation by Jehovah god would begin within less than ten years. Apart from the global change that present-day world condition indicate is fast getting near, the arrival of the seventh millennium of mans existence on earth suggests a gladsome change for war-stricken humankind.. In order for the Lord Jesus Christ to be Lord even of the Sabbath day, his thousand-year reign would have to be the seventh in a series of thousand-year periods or millenniums. (Matt 12:8, AV) Thus it would be a sabbatic reign. Since early in the existence of mankind Satan the Devil has been on the loose, making the human family to toil in hard bondage, causing the earth to be filled with violence before the global flood of Noah’s day and inducing the same old earth to be filled with even greater violence today. Soon now six millenniums of his wicked exploiting of mankind as his slaves will end, within the lifetime of the generation that has witnessed world events since the close of the gentile times in 1914 till now, according to the prophetic words of Jesus in Matthew 24:34. Would not, then, the end of six millenniums of mankind's laborious enslavement under Satan the Devil be the fitting time for Jehovah God to usher in a Sabbath millennium for all his human creatures? Yes, indeed! And his King Jesus Christ will be Lord of that Sabbath.';

Notice the use of the definite article “the”. It would be “the fitting time”, not “a fitting time” not “an appropriate time” but “THE FITTING TIME”, to the exclusion of all other times. “Yes, Indeed! And his King Jesus Christ will be Lord of that Sabbath”. Not “might be”, not “could be”, but “WILL BE”.

, for sure now….”

Jo Ho's remember John 1:1, ';the God'; vs. ';a God';? This Watchtower says, ';The fitting time'; not ';a fitting time';. There's that old definite article, ';the';.

From “Our Kingdom Ministry”, May 1974, page 3:

“Yes, since the summer of 1973 there have been new peaks in pioneers every month. Now there are 20,394 regular and special pioneers in the United States, an all-time peak. That is 5,190 more than there were in February 1973! A 34-percent increase! Does that not warm our hearts? Reports are heard of brothers selling their homes and property and planning to finish out the rest of their days in this old system in the pioneer service. Certainly this is a fine way to spend the short time remaining before the wicked world’s end.—1 John 2:17.”

What, you sold your house. quit you job, sold your stocks, quit college? Hey, who told you to do that?

Now, Armageddon did not come in 1975, so you'd a thunk the Watchtower Society would have jumped on that real fast in 1976. There are some mumblings about it, like the following:

Watchtower 7/15/76 putting faith in dates pg 440:

“It may be that some who have been serving God have planned their lives according to a mistaken view of just what was to happen on a certain date or in a certain year. They may have, for this reason, put off or neglected things that they otherwise would have cared for. But they have missed the point of the Bible’s warnings concerning the end of this system of things, thinking that Bible chronology reveals the specific date.”

Who started the date thing? Did that just spring up from the membership?

They go on in this Watchtower, par 13, page 440:

“ Did Jesus mean that we should adjust our financial and secular affairs so that our resources would just carry us to a certain date that we might think marks the end? If our house is suffering serious deterioration, should we let it go, on the assumption that we would need it only a few months longer? Or, if someone in the family possibly needs special medical care, should we say, ‘Well, we’ll put it off because the time is so near for this system of things to go’? This is not the kind of thinking that Jesus advised.”

No it isn’t. But wait a minute, what did the KM of May 1974 say above, just 14 months previous:

“Does that not warm our hearts? Reports are heard of brothers selling their homes and property and planning to finish out the rest of their days in this old system in the pioneer service. Certainly this is a fine way to spend the short time remaining before the wicked world’s end.”

So, I guess it shouldn’t have warmed our hearts, brothers selling their houses and all.

From the above Watchtower ';“It may be that some who have been serving God have planned their lives according to a mistaken view of just what was to happen on a certain date or in a certain year.'; Hey, it's no longer ';heartwarming';. You morons,';This is not the kind of thinking that Jesus advised.”

Where did you get the date idea?

';What, you sold your house. quit you job, sold your stocks, quit college, put off that heart operation? Hey, who told you to do that?,';This is not the kind of thinking that Jesus advised.”!!

It goes from heart warming to ';not the kind of thinking that Jesus advised.”

Hey, I personally know people who sold their gouses, etc because of the WATCHTOWER AND OTHER WATCHTOWER PUBLICATIONS indicating armageddon was coming in 1975.

Well, they kind of apologize in 1980:

Watchtower of March, 15, 1980, (note, 5 years later) in the article “ Choosing the Best Way of Life “the following:

“In modern times such eagerness, commendable in itself, has led to attempts at setting dates for the desired liberation from the suffering and troubles that are the lot of persons throughout the earth. With the appearance of the book Life Everlasting—in Freedom of the Sons of God, and its comments as to how appropriate it would be for the millennial reign of Christ to parallel the seventh millennium of man’s existence, considerable expectation was aroused regarding the year 1975. There were statements made then, and thereafter, stressing that this was only a possibility. Unfortunately, however, along with such cautionary information, there were other statements published that implied that such realization of hopes by that year was more of a probability than a mere possibility. It is to be regretted that these latter statements apparently overshadowed the cautionary ones and contributed to a buildup of the expectation already initiated.”

It went from a possibility to a probability as “there were other statements published that implied that such realization of hopes by that year was more of a probability than a mere possibility.” Would this be ,';not the kind of thinking that Jesus advised.”

So, again the Watchtower Society is wrong, kind of admits it, but not without first telling you “Hey, why are you fixed on a date?”

Because, Jehovah’s Witnesses, God’s Channel of Communication led us to believe it was going to happen.

Not “a” fitting time, “The” fitting time.

All you Jo Ho's out there have to be worried about what will chnage next.

EDIT: DREAM ON: by your poor syntax I would guess English is a second language.

What's your problem. So she asked 6 questions. maybe she wants answers from Jo Hos.

But you don't answer. Instead, you are critical of her questions. And you seem a bit angry. Are we hitting a nerve? Answer my questions above. Prove me wrong.

If you have questions about her religion, whatever, post them. What names the WTS uses for the false teachings when they come form the WTS?
They avoid the word “false,” they change their prophecies into “expectations,” “our understanding,” and “expectations needing some adjustment.”

After it doesn't come true change the names, give it a different view and then it's ok.

Another example:

Although the Proclaimers book mentions Millions

Now Living Will Never Die several times, it never uses the

words ';false'; or ';prophecy'; in connection with it. But during

the time they are teaching or proclaiming such things

they use terms like the following…

1.“the truth”

2.“rich truths”

3.“Bible truths”

4.“great truths”

5.“revealed truths”

6.“precious truths”

7. “jewels of truth”

8.“unsealed truths”

9.“Scriptural truths”

10.“established truths”

11.“liberating truths”

12.“pure language”

13.“Bible teachings”

14.“Bible prophecies”

15.“Scriptural beliefs”

16.“unfailing prophecy”

17.“extraordinary prophecy”

18.“the Creator’s promise”

19.“the teachings of Jehovah”

20.“Jehovah’s prophetic word”

21.“the sure word of prophecy”

22.“true teachings of the bible”

23.“revealed truths of Jehovah”

It's all a big play on words to make people believe the way they want. And we are the “opposers” and “opponents”. Powerful stuff, but all false. What names the WTS uses for the false teachings when they come form the WTS?
They claim Christians to be led by a false teaching, even though their cult is formed from it.

they provide their own evidence. They have claimed to know the time of rapture six times since they were founded. that in its self shows how blinded they are

Dream On - Does not an organization that incorrectly predicts the Rapture and second coming of Christ both.

a) Prove that their prophet/leading body is not getting his thoughts from GOD.

b)Show that they don't care about the other 8 billion people on the planet.
';old light'; and ';light getting brighter';.

-

Now though the truly 'cognitive dissonant' just say it is ';dated'; not even connecting it with their false teacher.
Old light, new light...
In the last hours you have done more than 6 Qs ...about JWs......

but you never answer Questions about your beliefs...Why?? are you scared???

you preach that Jesus is torturing children in hell....JWs try to explain you that is incorrect and why...but you still insist......in that insanity

How can you be so insensible teaching that Jesus drownded children in the flood to torture them???

Explain us please
First of all, how do you know it's false? Do you have solid evidence to back that notion?
