The editor of rip-off reports Ed Magedson purposefully turns a blind eye to people who have been criminally libeled by fasle and malicious statements about hard working small businesses and individuals. Business competitors or disgruntled employees, etc can post
any lie about a company without any reprecussion. Even when the editor knows it is false and criminal, he refuses to do anything to help those who have been libeled. nstead, he states you should just reply and defend yourself. That is not easy when a business competitor can anonymously call you a sex offenderwithout proof or even giving their name. Then he extorts money from you to remove the false post! He's a piece of garbage that Google should remove as Yahoo has.Don鈥檛 like your competitors? It鈥檚 ok just post a hundred complaints under false names! Remove ripoffreport!?
If people have actually been criminally libeled on a site, they can get a court order to have the offending remarks removed.
Otherwise ... welcome to the world of free speech. I'd rather have it this way than the way they do in, say, China, where the government controls what Web sites its citizens are allowed to see.
