Is there a false sense of importance placed on those with household names?

It is natural that people place importance on people based on their social status.J Lo and Britney Spears are a good example. They both have perfume lines that have generated alot of sales, yet is the perfume even really that good?It is if a celebrity is wearing it,according to how society thinks.Donald Trump sells bottled water for a whopping 2 bucks, but is it any better than Dasani or a generic brand? The answer to your question is yes.Is there a false sense of importance placed on those with household names?
I believe there is.....it's something I never took too much stock in myself. Things and people that are popular are not necessarily the right things.....although much like popular music, they are popular for a reason. Either way, I tend to seek out that which is unusual, rather than that which is popular. I've always been that way.Is there a false sense of importance placed on those with household names?
yes, sometimes, its all how you look at it......
If you mean celebrities I agree. I could care less what some celebrity thought about politics and their opinions. People seem to think that because someone is famous they know everything.
Yes. That's why people are excited, or crushed when there is a clothing malfunction, or lack of clothing...or when someone gets divorced, makes a naughty home video, makes a baby, or dies of a cocaine overdose. Even though...it's entirely probable, that at least one of these things has happened to your next door neighbor.
