PO Boxes and false names?

So i'd like to have something shipped to my PO box but it would be very embarrassing if someone else opened it or retrieved it... basically my question is as long as the shipping info and address and all that is correct it doesn't matter what the name is, right? also the box is probably too small so if i had to go up to retrieve it there wouldn't be any issues with them giving it to me, right?PO Boxes and false names?
the post office is supposed to, and tries very hard to deliver packages to the proper person. If the name is different and they notice, they may send it back. If you retrieve it at the counter, you will probably have to show ID to match the name on the package.

They don't open packages unless they have reason to suspect drugs, explosives, or other illegal items. So, I wouldn't send marijuana or child pornography through the US Postal Service...

However, they really don't care or have time to look at Playboy magazines, sex toys, religious or political newsletters, Victoria's Secret underwear, Rogaine hair growing tonic, Charles Atlas body building kits, or anything else. (they process thousands of those every day...)

Do like everybody else does: ask for it to be shipped in a plain brown wrapper. When it comes, show your ID at the counter, and pick it up. No one will notice or care what it is.PO Boxes and false names?
If you have something shipped in to your PO box it has to be in the correct name or they will not give it to you because of having a different name. They can not give an item to you that does not have your name on it. I ship items regularly due to the nature of my business. Sorry for the bad news.. Just have it shipped to you that is your best bet..
